We are pleased to have nationally recognized artist April Rimpo, a prize winning artist, teacher of workshops, demonstrator, and Signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society present 

"Fun with Fluid Acrylic Workshop"

Are you wondering about fluid acrylic and how they compare with watercolor? Considering mixed media technique while remaining true to the "rules" of watercolor society exhibitions? Just want to try something different?  

Join April Rimpo to learn 

  • A variety of textural techniques using fluid acrylic,
  • Stamping, stencils, and patterning and other mixed media techniques to add some spark to your paintings, 
  • To incorporate dabs of medium body acrylic paints into you work to create some subtle movement in your paintings. 
  • How to convert your favorite watercolor paint into fluid acrylic. You may have noticed the variety of color available in Fluid Acrylic are limited. This will solve that issue.
  • How some potentially problematic color combinations (e.g., purple and yellow) can be used successfully with acrylics while working quickly, without letting layers fully dry before you start.

From the Baltimore Beltway (I 695) take the exit onto I-70W and follow for 4.4 miles. Take exit 87B to merge onto US-29N towards MD99. Turn right at Rogers Ave. At the traffic light, take the exit to stay straight on Rogers Ave. Turn left at High Ridge Rd. and the Howard Co. Center for the Arts is on the left.

Refunds for later cancellations are subject to availability of a substitute participant.
