BWS was offered a special opportunity for 20 people to have a tour with Mary Whyte. She will show us her exhibition of 50 portraits of veterans. There is one from each state. Some of you may have seen the paintings, but her discussion will add understanding of how and why she chose to create this unique collection. The Paintings are exceptional and you will want to see them more than once.
We can only offer this opportunity to 20 people so we need to get a count of who will be coming. Registration is required. Members are allowed to register one guest.
You need to arrange your own transportation to the National U.S. Army Museum in Fort Belvoir, VA (address above) and meet at the specified location on April 21st at 11:00AM. The museum is located outside the Fort Belvoir Army Base gate. The location where we will meet will be sent to you in the reminder emails April 15th, 19th, and 20th. The groups tickets will be distributed at that time. Tickets are required. It is approximately an hour to an hour and twenty minutes drive, depending on the traffic, from Ellicott City to the Army Museum on Ft Belvoir. Car pooling is encouraged.
