Program Description

Richard shares his very best ideas about how to design paintings, and how these ideas can transform your artworks and add more joy and expression to the painting experience. Please bring paper and pencil to sketch along and taking notes.

BWS has a limited zoom capacity that can be expanded if we know to expect more participants. All registered participants will be sent the Zoom link before the demonstration.

Participants will have access to the video for 3 months.




BIOGRAPHY


Richard Scott

Richard E Scott is a painter, teacher and writer. He teaches drawing and painting at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, California, the Huntington in San Marino, California, and art workshops throughout the U.S. and Europe. For 25 years he has taught at numerous universities including Cal Poly Pomona, UCLA, Art Center, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and UNLV.

He has written for various art and design magazines and in 2013 published a compendium on drawing called “Sketching – from Square One to Trafalgar Square.”
