Highlight: Two Stops in New York City

Approx 11:30 am - 2 pm

The Frick is known for its distinguished Old Master paintings and outstanding examples of European sculpture and decorative arts. The collection includes paintings by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Van Dyck, El Greco, Velázquez, Goya, Monet, Degas, Whistler, as well as sculptures, furniture, and porcelain. The building was recently reopened after a five year comprehensive renovation.NOTE: Museum fees are not included in the bus trip fee.

  • Guggenheim Museum

1071 Fifth Avenue

The Guggenheim collects, preserves, and interprets modern and contemporary art.

  • Salmagundi Club to see the American Watercolor Society International Exhibition

    Come with us to see these paintings! Eleven of our fabulous Baltimore Watercolor Society artists' paintings are in this exhibit, the most prestigious exhibition in the United States.

    Registration: 

    Members and their guests: February 27, 2026 - $85/ea person


    Guests are paid for by the participant making the registration. You may invite up to two guests, 13 years or older. If bringing a minor, you are responsible to escort them at all times.  Unfortunately, guests younger than 13 are not permitted on the bus.


    Registration closes on April 17th or when full, whichever comes first.

    All registrations have to be paid within 5 days of registering. No exceptions please.

    There are three chartered bus pickup locations:

    Millersville Park & Ride 

      8550 Veterans Highway
      Millersville MD 21108.  
      This is on the east side of the I-97 and Benfield Road Interchange. 
        • Arrive no later than 6:15 am with prompt departure at 6:30 am.  
        • Volunteer will check you in.

         Security Blvd Park & Ride 

          I-70 & MD122 (Security Blvd) at end of I-70 East Baltimore, MD 21229

          • Arrive no later than 6:50 am with prompt departure at 7:00 am.  
          • Timonium Park & Ride (Deerco) 
          • Matt Fenton will check you in.

          Timonium Park & Ride

          2299 Greenspring Drive

          Timonium MD 21093

          • Arrive no later than 7:15 am, with prompt departure at 7:30 am.
          • Volunteer will check you in.

          You MUST INFORM the Trip Organizer (Matt Fenton matt.fenton4@gmail.com) if you will NOT be boarding the bus at any stop in New York City or we will assume you will be finding your own transportation to the next stop.

          The bus will arrive at The Frick Collection at approximately 11:30 am. TIMED TICKETS ARE REQUIRED IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBERS OF THE FRICK. GO TO FRICK.ORG FOR YOUR PURCHASE. 

          NOTE: Museum fees are not included in the bus trip fee.

          • The Frick Collection:

            Adult: $30, Senior (65 and over): $22, Student: $17 (with current ID), Free for youth ages under 18.

          • For tickets go to: https://www.frick.org/tickets

          • The Frick sells out quickly; please buy your tickets soon.

          Important:  The Frick limits groups to 30.  Therefore to limit the number going to the Frick, we added the Guggenheim and Neue Galerie as alternatives.  Please consider one of these instead. 

          • Guggenheim New York:

          Adult: $30, Senior (65 and over): $19, Student: $19 (with current ID).

          Note: Another alternative is to visit the Neue Galerie, a museum of early 20th century German and Austrian art.  Admission $28, seniors $18 and students $15.  The well known painting Woman in Gold by Gustav Klimt is part of their collection. 

          • After visiting the Guggenheim or the Frick, have lunch in their cafes, a nearby restaurant, or one of the food trucks on 5th Avenue.  Please be sure to come back to the Frick before the bus leaves a 2:00 pm, or 1:45 pm at the Guggenheim or Neue Gallerie. 
          • 2:00 pm promptly the bus departs from The Frick to the Salmagundi Club to view the American Watercolor Society Exhibit, arriving at approximately 2:30 pm.
          • 4:45 pm we will board the bus which will be waiting in front of the Salmagundi Club for the return to Maryland.
          • 5:00 pm prompt departure from the Salmagundi Club.

          Important: If you are not on the bus by 5:00 pm at the Salmagundi, we will assume that you have made other plans to return to Maryland. You MUST INFORM the Trip Organizer if you will NOT be returning to Baltimore on our bus. This is critical!


          Drop Off (approximate times):

          • Timonium Park and Ride at 9:00 pm
          • Security Blvd Park and Ride, Baltimore at 9:30 pm
          • Millersville Park and Ride at 10:00 pm

          Cancellation Policy:

          • 75% refunds if notified on or before March 20, 2026. 
          • 50% refund if notified March 21 through April 17, 2026.
          • No refund after April 17, 2026.

          Important:

          Registration is dependent upon reading and agreeing to the "Release and Indemnity" waiver that is included on the Registration form.

          A light snack will be provided on the bus after boarding. 

          • Be sure to bring your own beverages for on the bus. BWS is no longer providing bottled water to help reduce plastic waste. No glass containers to avoid breakage.

          Mask Policy:


          We highly encourage all bus riders to wear a mask for your safety in close quarters and to protect any in our midst at high risk or with vulnerable family members. Should any city, county, or state mask mandate occur during the time of our trip, said mandate will be strictly enforced for all bus passengers. 

          Plan to bring your own mask.
